Mohegan Sun Casino has announced plans to honor rockers Motley Crue with a spot on their “Walk of Fame”. Prior to their performance at the Mohegan Sun Arena on Saturday, May 18, a ceremony open to the public will be held outside the venue’s main entrance and near the box office at 4:30 p.m.

Motley Crue will also become the 25th entertainer inducted into Mohegan Sun’s Walk of Fame, joining the likes of Bon Jovi, KISS, Rod Stewart, Toby Keith and Taylor Swift. Each of the inductees receives a plaque that is permanently placed at the entrance to the arena. According to Mohegan Sun, the award seeks to “recognize those individuals who have made significant contributions to the success of Mohegan Sun as the Northeast’s premier entertainment destination”.

Tickets for the concert, which will mark their third at Mohegan Sun Arena, are available through Ticketmaster for $59 and $79.

Hailing from Los Angeles, California, Motley Crue have been together for over 30 years. The quartet is comprised of lead singer Vince Neil, guitarist Mick Mars, bassist Nikki Sixx and drummer Tommy Lee. Their last studio release was 2008’s Saints of Los Angeles. The band has been rumored to be working on new material, though fans should not expect a new album in 2013.
