moe. will close out 2012 with a series of shows in New England. Before ushering in 2013 with shows in Portland, Maine, the longtime jam band favorites will rock back-to-back nights at The Palladium in Worcester, Massachusetts on Friday, December 28 and Saturday, December 29. Tickets for each of the shows are available through for $26. Kung Fu will open the first night, while Dopapod will open the second.

Following the shows in Worcester, moe. will travel north for back-to-back nights at the State Theatre in Portland, Maine on Sunday, December 30 and Monday, December 31. Tickets for the first night, which will feature special guests Assembly of Dust, are available through Ticketmaster for $35. Tickets for the New Year’s Eve show are available for $50 and a limited number of two-night passes can be purchased for $75.

What Happened to the LA LA’s, moe.’s tenth studio album and follow-up to 2008’s Sticks and Stones, was released in January. For the first time since 1998’s Tin Cans & Car Tires, the band enlisted the help of a outside producer for the studio album. Produced by John Travis (Kid Rock, Social Distortion), the album is of many songs that the band had been road-testing for several years.

“I felt John Travis did a great job of having everything sit in its own spot in the mixes,” said vocalist/bassist Rob Derhak. “Everything is real dirty and gritty, but at the same time it’s all there and it all makes complete sense.”
