Mobb Deep to play Showcase Live

East Coast hip-hop favorites Mobb Deep will reunite this summer for a brief tour. The duo of Havoc and Prodigy will make their way to Massachusetts for a show at Showcase Live in Foxboro on Tuesday, June 7. Tickets for show are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $22.50.

The upcoming tour brings Mobb Deep’s three-year hiatus to an end. In March, Prodigy was release from prison after serving for his conviction on gun charges in 2006. Last month, the duo’s first new song in three years was leaked. “Dog Shit” features guest rapper Nas and was produced by Havoc & Alchemist. While the duo has not revealed a title or release date for their upcoming album, it is rumored to feature Sid Roams, DJ Premier, MTK, Cardiak and J.U.S.T.I.C.E. League. Mobb Deep’s last studio release was 2006’s Blood Money.

Havoc and Prodigy addressed concerns that their time apart would affect their performance in a recent interview with MTV News. “It’s like riding a bike, man; get up on it, and it’s still there,” Prodigy said. “It’s just natural for us ’cause we do this for real. We’ve been doing this for a long time.” Havoc added, “Basically the songs is like part of our DNA; we can’t forget it. It’s like three years haven’t even passed. As soon as we get up there, it’s like we just had a show yesterday.”
