Lineup revealed for Mix 104.1’s free MixFest

Mix 104.1 has announced plans for their annual MixFest concert, which this year will be a free day-long event at the Hatch Shell in Boston on Saturday, September 17. Lifehouse will headline the festival alongside Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Michelle Branch and Javier Colon. A special mystery artist will also perform.

Lifehouse continues to tour in support their of their latest album, Smoke & Mirrors. The California-based rocker’s fifth studio effort features collaborations with Kevin Rudolf and Chris Daughtry. It peaked at #6 on the Billboard 200 with the help of hit singles “Halfway Gone” and “All In”.

Grace Potter & the Nocturnals are touring behind their self-titled third album, which was released last summer. The album, which has been powered by hit singles “Paris (Ooh La La)” and “Medicine”, reached #19 on the Billboard 200 and #3 on the Billboard Top Rock Albums charts. Potter is also on the charts for her duet with Kenny Chesney on “You and Tequila”, the latest single off the country superstar’s 2010 album Hemingway’s Whiskey.

Branch, who recently was in town with the Goo Goo Dolls, is gearing up for the release of her forthcoming album, West Coast Time. The album, her first full length solo release since 2003’s Hotel Paper, is expected to hit stores in October, though no official release date has been announced. Fans can get a taste of the new material with current single, “Loud Music”.

Colon won the first season of NBC’s “The Voice” earlier this year.
