Mix 104.1 has announced plans for their annual MixFest concert, which this year will return as a free day-long event at the Hatch Shell in Boston on Saturday, September 8. Train will headline the festival alongside Gavin DeGraw and Andy Grammer. The show, which will be held rain or shine, is scheduled to begin at 4 p.m.

Train is touring in support of their new album, California 37. The band’s sixth studio effort and follow-up to 2009’s Save Me, San Francisco, debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200 after its release in April. Train recorded the album in their hometown of San Francisco, as well as Los Angeles, with Butch Walker and Espionage producing. It features singles “Drive By” and “Feels Good at First”.

DeGraw, who recently performed in Massachusetts with Colbie Caillat, continues to tour in support of 2011’s album, Sweeter. The singer’s third studio effort features hit singles “Not Over You” and “Sweeter”, both of which were co-written by Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic. The New York native and one-time Berklee College of Music student recently stared on ABC’s “Dancing With The Stars”.

Grammer, who is currently on the road with Train, continues to promote his self-titled debut album. Released in June of 2011, it features hit singles “Keep Your Head Up” and “Fine By Me”.

Last year’s MixFest concert featured Lifehouse, Sara Bareilles, Grace Potter & the Nocturnals, Michelle Branch and Javier Colon.
