Miranda Lambert announces Boston concert

Miranda Lambert has announced that she will continue touring throughout the summer and thankfully for fans in Boston, that means a long-awaited show in the Hub. The country superstar will bring her “On Fire” tour to the Bank of America Pavilion on Friday, July 27. At the show, Lambert will also perform a set with side project Pistol Annies, while JT Hodges will also perform. Tickets for the concert, which range in price from $35 to $54, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.

Lambert is touring in support of her latest release, Four The Record. The singer’s fourth studio effort and follow-up to 2009’s Revolution debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 after its release last November. Co-produced by Frank Liddell and Mike Wrucke, the album features singles “Baggage Claim” and “Over You”. The latter was one of four songs co-written with her husband and fellow country star Blake Shelton. The two duet on one song called “Better in the Long Run”. Lambert also covered the Gillian Welch and David Rawlings’s “Look At Miss Ohio”.

“I’m looking forward to the tour and playing some new music from Four the Record and kicking some attitude!” said Lambert in a press release.

Lambert took home her third consecutive Top Female Vocalist Award at the 2012 Academy of Country Music Awards, as well as the Album of the Year Award for For The Record.

Last year, Lambert formed the Pistol Annies with friends Ashley Monroe and Angaleena Presley. Their debut album, Hell On Heels, debuted at #1 on Billboard’s Country Albums chart and at #5 on the Billboard 200.
