Minus the Bear will return to the road this fall for a tour in support of their brand new album, Infinity Overhead. Joined by special guests Cursive and Massachusetts’ own Caspian, the band will play Boston’s Royale on Thursday, September 27. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $25.

Released earlier this week, Infinity Overhead is Minus the Bear’s fifth studio release and first since 2010’s Omni. Produced by longtime producer and founding member Matt Bayles, the album is said to be a return to the guitar-driven rock roots of the veteran Seattle-based fivesome. The video for lead single “Steel and Blood” is streaming below.

Cursive continue to tour in support of their new album, I Am Gemini. Released in February, the band’s seventh studio effort and follow-up to 2009’s Mama, I’m Swollen was recorded in the band’s hometown of Omaha, Nebraska with producer Matt Bayles (Mastodon, Minus The Bear, Isis). It marks the first time frontman Tim Kasher wrote album lyrics in a linear fashion, in order, from song 1 to song 13.

Caspian will release their third full-length studio album, Walking Season, on September 25. The new album marks the first time the Beverly-bred post-rock quintet have incorporated both an outside producer (Matt Bayles) and vocal arrangements on an album.
