Michael Franti & Spearhead to hit Boston behind ‘All People’

Michael Franti & Spearhead have revealed plans for the release of their forthcoming, All People. The reggae/funk rockers will hit Boston for a show at the House of Blues on Wednesday, September 11. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation for $35 and $45.

All People, Michael Franti & Spearhead’s eighth studio effort and follow-up to 2010’s The Sound Of Sunshine, will be released on July 30. Fans can get a taste of the new material with lead single “I’m Alive (Life Sounds Like)”, which is streaming below.

All People is about the beauty of diversity, being your authentic self in a crazy world and the infinite power of love,” said Franti in a press release. “For everyone that’s been with us for days or decades, I really appreciate the love that you’ve given us. The music is for you and you inspire us.”

Along with the show in Boston, Michael Franti & Spearhead will perform at the Calvin Theatre in Northampton on Tuesday, September 17. Other New England dates include Connecticut (Toad’s Place in New Haven on September 10), Vermont (Flynn Theatre in Burlington on September 12) and Maine (State Theatre in Portland on September 13).
