MGMT have revealed plans for a summer tour that will include the band’s biggest show in Boston to date. The band will take on the Bank of American Pavilion for a show on Tuesday, August 10. Tickets for the show, which are priced at $20 and $29.50, go on sale Saturday May 8 at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.

Following their show in Boston, the band will head out west for a show at Mountain Park in Holyoke. Tickets for that show are now on sale through NBOtickets.com for $30.

MGMT will be touring in support of their new album, Congratulations, which was released back in April. The album is a follow up to the band’s immensely successful debut album, Oracular Spectacular, which spawned the massive hits “Time to Pretend” and the Grammy-nominated “Kids”.

The new album is said to be a further exploration of the pop, synth and rock sounds the bands core duo Andrew Vanwyngarden and Ben Goldwasser showcased on Oracular Spectacular. “I don’t know what style of music our new record is,” explained Goldwasser in a press release. “We just want to keep creating and not get stuck”.
