Melissa Etheridge makes plans for New England

Melissa Etheridge has revealed plans for a summer tour in support of her brand new album Fearless Love. The tour will make three stops in New England, including two in Massachusetts.

The veteran singer-songwriter’s biggest show will take place at Boston’s Citi Wang Theatre on Saturday, July 10. Tickets, which rang in price from $38 to $103, are now on sale through Telecharge. Prior to her show in the hub, Etheridge will the more intimate confines of the Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis on Friday, July 9. Tickets for that show range in price from $57.75 to $108.75 and are now on sale through Ticketmaster. Etheridge’s final New England show will take place at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom on Sunday, July 11. Tickets, which range in price from $30 to $100, are now on sale through Ticketmaster.

Etheridge is hitting the road this summer to promote her latest release, Fearless Love. The new album, her tenth studio effort, was released at the end of last month. Produced by John Shanks (Bon Jovi, Michelle Branch), Fearless Love debuted #7 on the Billboard 200 and is said to be more of a return to her rock roots.

Earlier this month, NARM (National Association of Recording Merchandisers) honored Etheridge with its Harry Chapin Memorial Humanitarian Award at the 2010 NARM Convention in Chicago.
