R&B singer Maxwell has announced plans for a show in Boston this summer. The recent Grammy award winner will perform at the Bank of America Pavilion on Tuesday, July 13. Tickets, which range in price from $41 to $96, go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation

The tour comes fresh off Maxwell’s two Grammy wins, out of a total of six nominations, for last year’s #1, platinum and critically acclaimed album BLACKsummers’night. The album is the Brooklyn native’s fourth studio effort and was co-produced by Maxwell and Hod David. BLACKsummers’night is billed as the first in a trilogy, the second installment of which, BlackSUMMERS’night, is due out this year. Blacksummers’NIGHT, the final entry in the series, is expected to follow in 2011.

Prior to his Boston show, Maxwell will team up with Jill Scott for a co-headlining tour this spring that will include a stop at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncassville, Connecticut on Monday, June 21. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $57 and $77.
