Matisyahu maps summer tour with The Dirty Heads

Matisyahu will return to the road this summer for a nationwide tour alongside special guests The Dirty Heads. The reggae favorites will perform several shows in New England including Boston’s House of Blues on Tuesday, July 10. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Live Nation for $28 and $39.50.

Following the show in Boston, Matisyahu and The Dirty Heads will travel north to New Hampshire for a show at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom on Tuesday, July 11. Tickets for the show are available through Ticketmaster for $29. One week later, they’ll hit Providence, Rhode Island for a show at Lupo’s Heartbreak Hotel on Wednesday, July 18. Tickets for the show are available through eTix for$27.50 and $35.

Matisyahu is gearing up for the release of his fourth studio album, Spark Seeker. Scheduled to hit stores on July 27, the follow-up to 2009’s Light was produced by Kool Kojack. The Hasidic Jewish reggae star recorded the 13-track album in Los Angeles, New York and Israel. Fans can get a taste of the Spark Seeker with lead single “Sunshine”, which is streaming below.

The Dirty Heads will be touring in support of their forthcoming album, Cabin by the Sea. The band’s sophomore release and follow-up to their 2008 debut album Any Port in a Storm, will hit stores on June 19. The album features collaborations with fellow tour mate Matisyahu as well as Del the Funky Homosapien, KyMani Marley and Rome. Cabin by the Sea’s lead single is “Spread Too Thin”.

Both artists are asking fans to participate in a special poster design contest for the summer tour. To win a Matisyahu and Dirty Heads prize pack and $500 cash, contestants must submit an original poster design that incorporates both bands and interprets the musical connection between the two. Submissions will be accepted through June 20.
