Mat Kearney is headed back to Boston on a headlining tour this fall in support of his forthcoming album, Young Love. The pop-rocker, who recently finished a tour opening for Owl City, will play the House of Blues on Friday, November 4. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Live Nation for $20 and $30.

Young Love, which drops August 2, is Kearney’s third full-length album and his first since signing with Universal Republic Records. The Nashville-based, Oregon-born artist recorded the new album in Nashville with his longtime friend and producer Robert Marvin as well as Jason Lehning. Young Love‘s lead single “Hey Mama” details the meeting and courting of his new wife.

“The album really began with ‘Hey Mama’,” said Kearney in a press release. “After clapping into my laptop and programming this beat, I was dancing around the room actually freestyling words. This wasn’t me sitting around with some friends and an acoustic guitar. It was this visceral writing experience. I tried to find a way to write stories to these beats.”

He continued, “Lyrically, I had to bleed every line if I was going to record it.”

The video for “Hey Mama” is streaming below.

Prior to the Boston show, Kearney will play Pearl Street in Northampton on Tuesday, November 1. Tickets are on sale through NBOTickets for $18. Kearney’s other New England dates include Toad’s Place in New Haven, Connecticut on November 2, the State Theatre in Portland, Maine on November 5 and Higher Ground in Burlington, Vermont on November 6.
