Macy Gray has revealed plans for a special tour celebrating the 14th anniversary of her debut album, On How Life Is. The R&B and soul singer-songwriter will make her way to Massachusetts for an intimate performance at The Sinclair in Cambridge on Friday, November 15. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at noon through Ticketmaster for $40.

Released in July of 1999, On How Life Is remains Gray’s best-selling album. Recorded in Los Angeles with producer Andrew Slater, the album was powered by smash hit “I Try” and also featured singles “Do Something”, “Still” and “Why Didn’t You Call Me”. It helped garner Gray five Grammy Award nominations, including a win for “Best Female Pop Vocal Performance”.

While the upcoming tour will be a celebration of the past, Gray is reportedly working on her next studio album with hopes of releasing it sometime next year. Her last offering of all new material was 2010’s The Sellout.
