Lynyrd Skynyrd to hit Cape Cod on summer tour

Lynyrd Skynyrd have revealed plans for a summer tour in support of their latest album, Last Of A Dying Breed. The southern rock heroes will make several stops in New England, include an intimate performance in Massachusetts when they play the Cape Cod Melody Tent in Hyannis on Friday, August 16. Tickets for the show will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through eTix for $67.25 and $87.25.

Last Of A Dying Breed, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s thirteenth studio effort, debuted at #14 on the Billboard 200 after its release in August, making it their highest charting album since 1977. The band once again teamed up with producer Bob Marlette, with whom they worked on for their last release, 2009’s Gods & Guns. The video for the title track and lead single is streaming below.

Lynyrd Skynyrd will also join forces classic rockers Bad Company for a series of co-headlining shows, including one in New Hampshire. The two bands will perform together at the Meadowbrook Pavilion in Gilford on Friday, July 26. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $33.25 to $79, are now on sale through the venue’s website.

Prior to the show in New Hampshire, Lynyrd Skynyrd will hit Connecticut for a performance at the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket on Sunday, July 28. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $35 to $65, will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.
