Lynyrd Skynyrd will return to the road this winter as they continue to tour in support of their new album, Last Of A Dying Breed. The southern rock heroes will hit Massachusetts for a show at the Lowell Memorial Auditorium on Saturday, January 19. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through the venue’s box office and website for $57 and $69.75.

Last Of A Dying Breed, Lynyrd Skynyrd’s thirteenth studio effort, debuted at #14 on the Billboard 200 after its release in August, making it their highest charting album since 1977. The band once again teamed up with producer Bob Marlette, with whom they worked on for their last release, 2009’s Gods & Guns.

“It was great to get back in the studio with Bob for this new album,” said guitarist Gary Rossington in a press release. “We kind of went back old school this time. All of us playing together in the studio as a band, tracking songs and creating licks. We had a lot of fun and the music really flowed for us, so that’s when you know you are on to something good.”
