Lyle Lovett to hit New England for multiple shows

Continuing his tour in support of Release Me, Lyle Lovett will kick off another tour with his Acoustic Group next month in New England. The veteran singer-songwriter will perform several shows in the area, including Boston’s Wilbur Theatre on Sunday, November 4. Tickets for the show are available through Ticketmaster for $49 and $75.

Prior to the show in Boston, Lovett will perform at the Zeiterion Theatre in New Bedford on Friday, November 2. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $47.50 to $62.50, are available through the venue’s box office and website. The tour will kick off at The Music Hall in Portsmouth in New Hampshire on November 1. It will also makes stops at the Calvin Theatre in Northampton, Massachusetts on November 3 and the Stone Mountain Arts Center in Brownfield, Maine on November 5.

Release Me, Lovett’s eleventh studio effort and follow-up to 2009’s Natural Forces, was released in February. Produced by Nathaniel Kunkel and Lovett, the album is a collection of originals and covers. Release Me marks Lovett’s last album with Curb Records after being on the label for his entire career.

“That’s why I made the point of calling the record Release Me,” Lovett said in an interview with the Los Angeles Times earlier this year. “It’s a way of letting people know my job’s going to change a little bit now. It’s a new age, and the ability to be out there and really be on your own is greater than it’s ever been.”
