For the first time in over a decade, Luscious Jackson will perform in Boston this summer. The recently reunited rockers will perform at the Paradise Rock Club on Saturday, June 7. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at noon through Ticketmaster for $20.

Luscious Jackson, comprised of Jill Cunniff (vocals, bass), Gabrielle Glaser (vocals, guitar) and Kate Schellenbach (keyboards, vocals), reunited last for a series of shows last fall. The group also released Magic Hour, their first studio album in 14 years. Produced by Cunniff and Glaser (with an assist from old friend Adam Horovitz of the Beastie Boys on the track “So Rock On”) and released on the band’s own City Song imprint, the album features lead single “Show Us What You Got” (streaming below).

“When we were making the new album,” explained Cunniff in a press release, “we felt like we did when we were making our first demos. We were just smiling and laughing all the time because we rediscovered a musical connection we all really loved and missed.”

Best remembered for their 1997 hit “Naked Eye”, Luscious Jackson released three albums before calling it quits in 2000. In 2012, the band announced their intentions to reunite and record a new album. They subsequently turned to their fans to gauge interest and funds for a new album with a campaign on PledgeMusic, where pledges surpassed the band’s fundraising goal within 48 hours.
