Luke Bryan to tackle Gillette Stadium in August

Luke Bryan has added a Massachusetts date to his upcoming summer tour. With help from special guest Dierks Bentley, the reigning Academy of Country Music (ACM) Entertainer of the Year will perform at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro on Sunday, August 10. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $45.25 to $89.25, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Lee Brice and Cole Swindell will also perform.

The “That’s My Kind of Night” tour will include several stadium shows, his first as a headliner. Bryan continues to tour in support of his latest album Crash My Party. Released last August, the Georgia native’s fourth studio effort and follow-up to 2011’s Tailgates & Tanlines debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200. The album has been powered by hit singles “Crash My Party”, “That’s My Kind of Night” and “Drink a Beer” (video is streaming below).

Bryan will also release a new EP next month, the latest in his Spring Break EP series. Spring Break 6… Like We Ain’t Ever, a set of six new original songs all co-written by Bryan, will be released digitally on March 11.

Bentley will release Riser, his seventh studio effort and follow-up to 2012’s Home, next week. Recorded with producer Ross Copperman and executive producer Arturo Buenahora, Jr., the album features singles “Bourbon in Kentucky” (with Kacey Musgraves contributing backing vocals) and “I Hold On”.

“I named the album Riser because the lyrics in that song perfectly articulate who I want to be, who I try to be,” explained Bentley in a press release. “There’s a lot of really intense material on this record, but there’s also a lighter side that is equally important in telling the story of the last two years of my life.  When I first started writing for this album, I was in a place of grief over the loss of my dad, but over the course of the next 18 months, my wife and I had our son Knox, and I ended in a place of real joy and gratefulness.  Both sides of that coin are what country music has always been about, and I hope that my fans can feel how much of myself I put into this project. It’s all out on the table, for sure.”

Brice recently released a brand new single called “I Don’t Dance”. The song is expected to be on his forthcoming third studio album, though no name or release date has been set. His last album was 2012’s Hard 2 Love, which featured hit singles “A Woman Like You”, “Hard to Love”, “I Drive Your Truck” and “Parking Lot Party”.

Swindell just released his self-titled debut album earlier this week but its lead single “Chillin’ It” has already reached #1 on Billboard’s Hot Country Songs chart.
