Kenny Chesney will begin a three-night stand in Massachusetts tonight with a very intimate and very sold out show at Boston’s Royal Nightclub as part of the CMA Songwriters Series. Thankfully for fans, audio from the show will be streamed live at CMASongwritersSeries.com and Chesney’s NoShoesRadio.com.

Joining Chesney will be a collection of acclaimed songwriters that he has worked with in the past. Berg wrote “You and Tequila”, which was recorded by Chesney on his latest album, 2010′s Hemingway’s Whiskey. Chesney has also worked with James (“When The Sun Goes Down” and “Out Last Night”), Mobley (“There Goes My Life” and “How Forever Feels”) and Wiseman (“The Good Stuff” and “Summertime”). Veteran Bob DiPiero, known as one of Nashville’s most consistent and prolific writers with a collection of hits including Montgomery Gentry’s “If You Ever Stop Loving Me” and Tim McGraw’s “Southern Voice”, will emcee the event.

“I came to town as a songwriter and always consider myself a songwriter first,” Chesney said in a press release. “I’m looking forward to playing alongside my friends and heroes who create and write amazing songs for a living. I’m really proud to help the CMA show the fans what great music comes out of Nashville from our awesome writers. I couldn’t think of a better place to showcase this than in the city of Boston. The fans have been amazing to us and I am thrilled to be ending our tour with over 100,000 sold tickets in one of the greatest markets in the world.”

Chesney will perform at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro with the Zac Brown Band and Billy Currington on Friday and Saturday. Friday’s show was previously schedule for Sunday but was moved up due to the impending Hurricane Irene Storm.
