Organizers for the annual Boston Pops’ Fireworks Spectacular celebration have announced the lineup for this year’s event. Grammy Award winner and Norwell native Susan Tedeschi highlights the list of special guests, which puts a heavy focus on New England talent with Brewer, Maine-bred singer-songwriter Howie Day, Wrentham’s Ayla Brown and Roxbury’s Ellis Hall also set to perform. They will all join Maestro Keith Lockhart and the Boston Pops Esplanade Orchestra along with the Tanglewood Festival Chorus at the Hatch Shell on Thursday, July 4.

The concert, which is celebrating its 40th anniversary, will be televised locally by WBZ-TV from 7 to 10 p.m. This year’s program will be hosted by WBZ-TV News anchors Lisa Hughes and Jonathan Elias and will feature WBZ-TV News’ Jack Williams, Paula Ebben, and Todd Gutner.

The Pops will host an open dress rehearsal on Wednesday, July 3 at 8:30.

Tedeschi, a veteran blue star, has focused recently on her band with husband Derek Trucks of the Allman Brothers Band. The Tedeschi-Trucks Band will release their highly anticipated sophomore album, Made Up Mind, on August 20.

Last year’s 4th of July Spectacular special guest was Oscar and Grammy Award-winning pop star Jennifer Hudson. Other 4th of July Spectacular guests in recent years include Martina McBride, Toby Keith, Neil Diamond and Rascal Flatts.
