Laura Jane Grace, frontwoman of Against Me!, has announced a run of solo acoustic shows in August throughout the Northeast. The “Laura Jane Grace Sings The Transgender Dysphoria Blues” tour will stop in Boston for a night at the Brighton Music Hall on Sunday, August 11. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at noon through Ticketmaster for $12.

For every ticket purchased, fans will receive a download link to two new Against Me! songs, which are stripped-down, acoustic renditions of full band album songs from the upcoming full-length album Transgender Dysphoria Blues. Titled True Trans, this limited edition 7″ will feature these two acoustic tracks and will be available for purchase at the upcoming shows.

No release date has been confirmed for Transgender Dysphoria Blues, which will mark Against Me!’s first since Grace, born Tom Gabel, came out as transgender last year. Grace announced the album was complete last month in a tweet, saying, “At the cost of a lot of friends and having probably ruined my life, finished tracking Transgender Dysphoria Blues.”

Against Me! had been scheduled to tour with Bad Religion earlier this year but canceled the outing in part to the departure of drummer Jay Weinberg. Longtime bassist Andrew Seward parted ways with the group soon after.
