Lana Del Rey to play the House of Blues in May

With a new album in the works, Lana Del Rey has revealed plans for a spring tour. The rising pop star will hit Boston for a show at the House of Blues on Tuesday, May 6. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation for $59.50.

The New York Native is currently completing her third studio album, Ultraviolence. No release date for the follow-up to 2012’s Born to Die has been announced. She has been working on the new material in Nashville with Dan Auerbach of The Black Keys producing.

Del Rey’s remake of the Disney classic “Once Upon a Dream” will be on the soundtrack of Disney’s upcoming film ‘Maleficent’ starring Angelina Jolie (in theaters May 30).

Earlier this year, Del Rey earned a pair of Grammy Award nominations. Her 2012 EP Paradise was nominated for Best Pop Vocal Album, while her song “Young and Beautiful” (recorded for Baz Lurhmann’s The Great Gatsby soundtrack) was nominated for Best Song Written for Visual Media.
