Lady Gaga has added a second New England show to her 2013 “Born This Way Ball” tour. The pop superstar will play the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut  on Sunday, March 3. Tickets for the show, which will feature a general admission floor, will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $95 and $195.

The Born This Way Ball is Lady Gaga’s first tour since the release of her latest album Born This Way, which has sold nearly 6 million copies worldwide since its release in May 2011. The album is the follow-up to back-to-back Grammy Award-winning albums The Fame Monster (2009) and The Fame (2008). Gaga co-produced Born This Way with an array of producers including RedOne, Fernando Garibay, DJ White Shadow, Jeppe Laursen, Robert John “Mutt” Lange, Massachusetts native Clinton Sparks and more. It’s been powered by hit singles “Born This Way”, “Judas”, “The Edge of Glory”, “You and I” and “Marry the Night”.

Pollstar’s 2012 Mid Year report ranked the Born This Way Ball as the top grossing tour by any female artist worldwide this year.

Gaga is busy working on her fourth studio effort which will be called ARTPOP and is expected to hit stores in early 2013. Not many details regarding the forthcoming album have been released, though Gaga did declare on her website that the album will be released  in a variety of formats include an interactive app (for iPad, iPhone and other mobile providers), which will be the “most major way to full immerse yourself in ARTPOP“.
