Kris Kristofferson makes plans for Massachusetts

Kris Kristofferson will launch a month-long tour of the East Coast with a pair of shows in Massachusetts this May. The veteran country singer and actor will play shows in New Bedford and Worcester.

Kristofferson will launch the tour at the Zeiterion Theatre in New Bedford on Tuesday, May 3. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $40 to $58, are now on sale through the venue’s box office and website. He’ll also play the Hanover Theatre in Worcester on Wednesday, May 4. Last year, Kristofferson released Please Don’t Tell Me How The Story Ends: The Publishing Demos. The album is the collection of recording demos done by Kristofferson between 1968 and 1972 while working as a janitor at Columbia Records. Many of these songs would later go on to be rerecorded on later Kristofferson albums or by other artists including Janis Joplin, Al Green, and Johnny Cash. His last offering of new material was 2009’s Closer to the Bone
