Korn will embark on an intimate club tour next month to build buzz for their forthcoming album, The Paradigm Shift. The veteran rockers will make their way to Massachusetts for a show at The Palladium in Worcester on Saturday, September 28. Tickets for the show, which will also feature special guests Asking Alexandria and Love & Death, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Tickets.com for $45.

The Paradigm Shift, Korn’s eleventh studio effort and follow-up to 2011’s The Path of Totality, will hit stores on October 8. It will mark the band’s first release with original guitarist Brian “Head” Welch since 2003’s Take a Look in the Mirror. Recorded in California with producer Dan Gilmore (Linkin Park, Bullet for My Valentine), the album features lead single “Never Never” (streaming below).

“It’s a term encompassing different perspectives,” said guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer of the new album in a press release. “You can view a piece of art from one angle and it takes on a certain image. If you look from another angle, it’s a completely different image. We liken that to Korn in 2013. With Head back in the fold, all of the elements fans have loved since day one are there, but we’re interpreting them from a new perspective. It’s a bigger, brighter, and bolder Korn.”

In a recent interview with Rolling Stone, frontman Jonathan Davis recalled the writing process for the new album that began after a stint in rehab. “The whole writing process I was on autopilot,” he said. “It was stream-of-consciousness – so many songs I don’t know what the fuck I’m talking about. I didn’t really have to try to write, it just came out… It was really kind of magic. I don’t know how the hell I did it. I was so fucked up from coming off all that medicine, and I feel so good about the record. When I look back now, I’m like, ‘Wow, how did I come up with this shit?'”
