KISS have revealed plans for a handful of shows in the United States this summer as they tour in support of their new album, Monster. After rocking Europe and Canada, the legendary rockers will hit New England for shows in Connecticut and New Hampshire.

The US shows will begin in New Hampshire with a performance at the Meadowbrook Pavilion in Gilford on Wednesday, August 7. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $29 to $89, are now on sale through the venue’s box office and website. The band will then perform at Connecticut’s Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville on Saturday, August 10. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $76 and $96. English rockers Leogun will open both shows.

Monster, KISS’ twentieth studio album and follow-up to 2009’s Sonic Boom, debuted at #3 on the Billboard 200 after its release last October. It reached the Top 10 in nine other counties. Recorded in California, the album was produced by singer-guitarist Paul Stanley with assistance from Greg Collins. Monster features singles “Hell Or Hallelujah” and “Long Way Down”.

“We weren’t interested in making just a great KISS album, but a great rock album that lived up to the bands we loved growing up,” explained Stanley in a press release, “the ones who got us to play music in the first place.”

KISS is currently comprised of Stanley and founding bassist Gene Simmons alongside longtime members guitarist Tommy Thayer and drummer Eric Singer.
