Kip Moore has been tapped to headline CMT’s thirteenth annual tour. The rising country star from Georgia will kick off the 20-city “CMT on Tour: Up In Smoke” outing in New York and bring it to a close at the Orpheum Theatre in Boston on Friday, November 21. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $27.50 to $40, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Charlie Worsham and Sam Hunt will also perform.

“We’ve been on the road pretty much non-stop for the past four years playing as much as we can wherever we can,” said Moore in a press release. “When we started out sometimes there would only be five people at a show, and seeing the crowds grow over the years is really humbling and encouraging. And now to be teaming up with CMT for a tour is a really exciting moment in my career. We’ll definitely be playing lots of songs from the new album out on the road so it will be fun to test those out and see what the fans think.”

Moore is reportedly gearing up for the release of his highly anticipated sophomore album. Fans can get a taste of the new material with singles “Young Love” and “Dirt Road” (streaming below). No official name or release date has been set for the new album.

“The groove of this song is something that really grabbed me,” said Moore of his new single “Dirt Road”. “I actually worked it up with the band on the road and we played it live that same night.  We did that with a lot of the new songs and in a way the live crowds helped shape this album because of that.”

Up All Night, Moore’s 2012 debut album, was powered by the #1 hit “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck” and follow-up singles “Beer Money” and “Hey Pretty Girl”.

Prior to his headlining tour, Moore will open for Tim McGraw through the summer. The two will perform at the Xfinity Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut on June 13.
