Kings of Leon have revealed plans to hit the road in support of their new album, Mechanical Bull. The band will deliver two shows in New England, including a performance at the TD Garden in Boston on Friday, February 28. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $27 to $63, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. The band will be joined by special guest Gary Clark, Jr.

Mechanical Bull, Kings of Leon’s sixth studio effort and follow-up to 2010’s Come Around Sundown debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200 after its release in September. The band recorded the album at their own studio in Nashville with longtime collaborator Angelo Petraglia. It features singles “Supersoaker”, “Wait for Me” and “Temple” (streaming below).

Prior to the show in Boston, Kings of Leon will perform at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on Saturday, February 15. Tickets for the concert will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $56 and $76.

The tour marks the band’s first since they cancelled their 2011 summer tour after an onstage meltdown that saw frontman Caleb Followill abruptly left the stage after 40 minutes. After a brief hiatus, the band reconvened earlier this year to begin work on Mechanical Bull.  “It was how we sounded when we started playing as a band, excited to plug in,” said drummer Nathan Followill of the new material in an interview with Rolling Stone earlier this year.

Clark, who will play a two-night stand at Boston’s Royale on November 10 and 11, continues to tour in support of his acclaimed debut album, Blak and Blu.
