Kings of Leon plot August return to Massachusetts

Kings of Leon will hit the road again this summer with plans for a return trip to Massachusetts in August. The band will play the Comcast Center in Mansfield on Friday, August 19. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $30.50 to $66.50, will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation. A special for $20 lawn seats will be available this weekend only. Band of Horses will open the show.

The Tennessee-based rockers continue to tour in support of 2010’s Come Around Sundown, which had just been recently released when they last visited the Boston area for a show at the TD Garden in November. The album, their fifth studio effort album and first since 2008’s Only by the Night, has been well-received thanks to singles “Radioactive” and “Pyro”. A third single, “Back Down South”,  is scheduled for release later this month.

Joining the Kings on the road will be Band of Horses, who continue to tour in support of last year’s Infinite Arms.

The tour will also stop at the Comcast Theatre in Hartford, Connecticut on Saturday, August 13.
