Kid Rock to open for Bon Jovi at Gillette Stadium

Bon Jovi has enlisted Kid Rock to open the band’s big show at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro this summer. The Detroit rocker, who spent the past two summers headlining shows with support from Lynyrd Skynyrd, will join the New Jersey favorites at the home of the New England Patriots on Saturday, July 24. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $25 to $127.50, are now on sale through Ticketmaster.

Kid Rock is currently working on his followup to 2007’s Rock N Roll Jesus with acclaimed producer Rick Rubin. He also sings one song on the recently released solo album from Slash of Guns N Roses/Velvet Revolver fame.

Bon Jovi will spend much of the next two years on the road, performing 135 shows in 30 countries, in support of their brand new album, The Circle. The new album, their eleventh studio effort, was released last fall and has been powered by lead single “We Weren’t Born to Follow”. Produced by John Shanks, The Circle is more of a return to their rock roots after their country-fused 2007 album Lost Highway.
