Kenny Chesney has revealed plans for his annual summer tour, which will climax with a pair of shows at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro. Chesney’s “No Shoes Nation” tour with special guest Eric Church will close with shows at the home of the New England Patriots on Friday, August 24 and Saturday, August 25 as part of the annual New England Country Music Festival. Eli Young Band and Kacey Musgrave will also perform.

Tickets for each of the shows, which range in price from $55 to $107.50, will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster.  A pair of special 10-ticket packages will be sold at discounted rates for the Friday, August 23 show only. Ten packs of Category II tickets (individually priced at $82.50) will be available for $475 while Category III tickets (individually priced at $55) will be available for $325.

The “No Shoes Nation” tour got its name after Chesney decided to call his fanbase the “No Shoes Nation” when he completed his 2012 tour in Foxboro last year. The country superstar calls Foxboro his “second home” and is excited to end the summer tour there for the third straight year. On tour, Chesney will continue to promote his latest album, Welcome to the Fishbowl. Released in June, the Tennessee native’s fifteenth studio album debuted at #2 on the Billboard 200. It features singles “Feel Like a Rock Star” (with Tim McGraw), “Come Over” and “El Cerrito Place”.

Chesney has helped make the annual New England Country Music Festival at Gillette Stadium the largest concert series in New England, selling out Gillette Stadium each year from 2006 to 2009, and then again for two nights each in 2011 and 2012. He has played more shows at the stadium, which opened in 2002, than any other artist. Chesney’s 2012 with McGraw was recently honored with “The Top Package Award” at the Billboard Touring Awards.

Church’s most recent release, 2011’s Chief, won the CMA’s “Album of the Year” award last month. Released in July of 2011, the North Carolina-bred singer’s third studio effort has been powered by hit singles “Homeboy”, “Drink in My Hand”, “Springsteen” and “Creepin'”.
