Keane make summer tour plans for America

Keane has revealed plans for summer stateside tour with Ingrid Michaelson and Travis frontman Fran Healy. The Brit-pop rockers will crossover to this side of the pond for a string of summer dates including a stop at the Bank of America Pavilion in Boston on Tuesday, August 3. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Live Nation for $29.50 and $39.50, with a special 4 pack going for $98.00.

The band is setting out in support of there new EP Night Train, which was just released on May 10 through Island Records. The EP features 8 new songs the band recorded on their most recent tour, the Perfect Symmetry world tour, which saw the band making appearances in 28 countries around the world (including a stop in Boston last year).

Night Train, which takes its name from the band’s favorite mode of transportation during the tour, finds the band beginning to branch out with collaborations with Somali/Canadian rapper K’Naan on  “Looking Back” and EP’s lead off track, “Stop for a Minute. Other highlights include “Ishin Denshin (You’ve Got to Help Yourself)” which features Japanese MC Tigarah as well as “Your Love”, featuring lead vocals from Ivor Novello’s Tim Rice-Oxley.

“I think those tracks show us in a completely different light,” said frontman Tom Chaplin in a press release.
