Katy Perry has extended her summer tour to include a show in Connecticut. As part of her “Prismatic” world tour, the pop star will now visit Uncasville for a performance at the Mohegan Sun Arena on Monday, July 7. Tickets for the show, which will also feature openers Capital Cities, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $100.50 and $150.50.

Prism, Perry’s fourth studio effort and follow-up to 2010’s Teenage Dream, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 after its release in October. Four months later, it remains in the top ten. Prism has been powered by lead single and smash hit “Roar”, along with follow-up singles “Unconditionally” and “Dark Horse” (featuring Juicy J). She recorded the album in California and Sweden with an array of producers including Dr. Luke, Max Martin, Klas Ã…hlund, Benny Blanco, Bloodshy, Cirkut, Greg Kurstin, Greg Wells, StarGate and Sia Furler.

For the upcoming tour, Perry is promising a “state-of-the art” stage that she designed herself. Similar to previous tours by U2 and The Rolling Stones, the stage will include a special general admission area on the floor directly in front of the stage that will be surrounded by catwalks.

Perry released a video for “Dark Horse” (streaming below) last week, which has since sparked controversy amongst some members of the Muslim community. An online petition on Change.org asks YouTube to remove the video because it is disrespectful and depicts a man “being burned, whilst wearing a pendant (also burned) forming the word ‘Allah'”.
