Kate Nash maps return to America

After a sold out club tour earlier this year, Kate Nash has announced plans for a return visit to North America this fall. The English singer will take on the more expansive House of Blues when she hits Boston on Friday, November 8. Tickets for the show are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $20.

Girl Talk, Nash’s third studio effort and follow-up to 2010’s My Best Friend Is You, was released in March. She self-released the album after a successful fan-funded campaign via PledgeMusic. Recorded in Los Angeles with producer Tom Biller, it features lead single “3AM” (video is streaming below).

On the upcoming tour, Nash will be performing with her all-girl band. “Working with an all-girl band has been incredibly liberating as well as being brilliant fun,” explained Nash in a press release. “I really believe in women being able to be whatever they want to be. We don’t have to be one-dimensional. I can be sensitive. I can be angry. I can do a song that is screaming and then add a backing vocal that is really sweet. I’ve never been one thing and I refuse to allow people or the music industry to try and define me otherwise.”
