Kanye West to play Mohegan Sun Arena

Kanye West has revealed plans to resurrect “Yeezus” for a series of Northeast shows in February. The new dates will include one New England stop with the veteran rapper scheduled to perform at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on Friday, February 21. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $79 and $99.

Yeezus, West’s sixth solo studio effort and first since 2010′’s My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, debuted at #1 on the Billboard 200 after its release in June. It also topped the charts in 30 other countries, including the United Kingdom and Australia. At the start of 2013, West began recording the new material in Paris and eventually completed it with executive producer Rick Rubin in California. For Yeezus, West enlisted several collaborators, including Daft Punk, Mike Dean, Skrillex, Odd Future, Travis Scott, The-Dream, John Legend, James Blake, RZA, Pusha T and more. The album features additional vocals by Justin Vernon (of Bon Iver), Frank Ocean, Chief Keef, King L, Kid Cudi, Assassin and Charlie Wilson. It features singles “Black Skinhead”, “Bound 2” (streaming below) and “Blood on the Leaves”.
