The KahBang Festival has released the full music line up for the annual Bangor, Maine-based festival. Headlining this year’s festival will be rockers Dr. Dog and hip-hop favorite Earl Sweatshirt of Odd Future.

Among the highlights are Lights, St. Lucia, Gentleman Hall, Paper Diamond, The Knocks, Break Science, The Weeks, AER, Oberhofer, Hopsin and Lady Lamb the Beekeeper.
Now in its fifth year, KahBang has changed the structure of the festival and is offering most events free of charge to the general public. Fans will also have access to all art galleries, film screenings, food and craft vendors, fair rides, and live music stages and select showcases for free. The Main Stage, Dance Stage, Bangor Brew Fest, and Campsite Stage will be separately ticketed events. All access festival passes are available through KahBang’s website through July 26 for $40 ($70 for Camping) and then through August 9 for $50 ($100 for camping).
“Not since our founding year in 2009 have I been more excited for our event,” explained Tim Lo, KahBang Executive Director, in a press release. “We took an approach this year that focused on building a festival and not just a concert, and I’m overwhelmed by the result. We have more to offer to the public than any year before, and most of it is free. For our returning fans this is the richest experience they’ll ever have and have something to be excited about and enjoy from the moment our doors open to till the sun rises Sunday morning. Get ready for one amazing KahBang weekend. We’re excited to host New England and visitors from afar.”
“Our team has spent the last nine months planning the coolest birthday party we could think to throw ourselves,” added KahBang Creative Director Joshua Gass. “KahBang is all about discovery and we decided very early on to adapt our format to allow more people to experience our event without having to buy a ticket. The music lineup is the most diverse we have ever assembled and we have already had incredible response from people all over the country letting us know how excited they are to participate in this year’s event. We began this festival in part to showcase Bangor and we are encouraging people from New England and all over to come and explore what KahBang and this region has to offer. I don’t believe they will be disappointed.”
