Justin Townes Earle will return to Massachusetts this fall. The singer-songwriter will stop in Cambridge for a performance at The Sinclair on Sunday, October 27. Tickets for the show will go on sale Friday at noon through Ticketmaster for $22.

Earle continues to tour in support of 2012’s Nothing’s Gonna Change the Way You Feel About Me Now. The singer-songwriter’s fourth studio effort and follow-up to 2010’s Harlem River Blues reached #4 on Billboard’s Folk albums chart. Produced by Earle alongside longtime collaborator Skylar Wilson, the 10-track album was recorded completely live with no overdubs over a 4-day period at an old converted church recording studio in Asheville, North Carolina. Nothing’s Gonna Change the Way You Feel About Me Now marked a change in sound for Earle with more of a Memphis-soul direction on the new album.

In an interview with No Country For New Nashville earlier this year, Earle confirmed that he would soon begin working on a new album. “When you hear our next record, you’ll realize that we just dipped our toe in the water with Nothing’s Gonna Change,” he said. “The next record is going to have even more of that Memphis soul sound with a bit of doo-wap. We knew that we were going to need a big room to get the sound that we were looking for, so we have Ben Folds studio set up. We want to get in there soon. We’re hoping to get the new record out this winter. It may be spring, but I would like to get it out before the holidays.”
