Blue October frontman Justin Furstenfeld has announced plans for a solo tour dubbed “An Open Book: An Evening With Justin Furstenfeld Of Blue October”. The tour will stop in Massachusetts for a night at The Sinclair in Cambridge on Thursday, May 2. Tickets for the show, which will also feature opener Ashleigh Stone, will go on sale Friday at noon through Ticketmaster.

Furstenfeld will be on the road to promote the release of the expanded third edition of his 2009 book of lyrics and writings, “Crazy Making”. The shows will consist of spoken word, rounded off with a question-and-answer session, and will also include an acoustic set of songs never before heard and intimate versions of favorites.

Blue October are reportedly working on their seventh studio album with hopes of a summertime release. Their last offering of all new material was 2011’s Any Man in America.
