Judas Priest will bring their farewell tour to Massachusetts this fall. As part of their ongoing “Epitaph” tour, the metal legends will play the Tsongas Center in Lowell on Sunday, November 20. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $47 to $127, will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through the venue’s box office and website. Opening the concert will be special guests Black Label Society and Thin Lizzy.

Earlier this month, Judas Priest clarified the state of the band and what they are calling their last major world tour. “We didn’t say it was the end of the band or that we were going to retire or the band was going to break up,” the band declared in a statement. “Just that it would be the last major world tour we would be doing which is still the case. We have plans for a new album plus possible future releases and we would still consider doing the odd live show – if it is something special or for a great cause – but no more world tours.”

Judas Priest last studio offering was the 2008 double-disc set Nostradamus. Since then, the band released a pair of live albums: 2009’s A Touch of Evil: Live and 2010’s British Steel – 30th Anniversary – Live.
