Jordin Sparks has unveiled plans for a summer tour in support of her latest album, Battlefield. The tour will begin in April and continues through June, including a stop at Boston’s Orpheum Theatre on Wednesday, April 28. Tickets to see the American Idol champion are now on sale through Live Nation and range in price from $25 to $35. Singer/songwriter Kate Voegele and pop-rockers Days Difference have been tapped to open the show.

Sparks will be touring in support of her sophomore released, Battlefield. Released last July, the album follows her 2007 self-titled debut album. The new album has been powered by the success of its lead single “Battlefield”, which was produced and co-written by Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic.

Following the show in Boston, Sparks will head north to perform at the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in New Hampshire on Friday, April 30.

The 20-year old’s recent success is not limited to the studio and stage, however. Sparks recently made her acting debut on Disney’s The Suite Life on Deck, portraying herself in the aptly named episode “Crossing Jordin”.
