Jonas Brothers cancel fall tour
The Jonas Brothers have abruptly cancelled their upcoming tour, which was scheduled to include a show at Boston’s Oprheum Theatre on October 18 and the Hampton Beach Casino Ballroom in New Hampshire on October 19. Refunds for each of the shows are available at the point of purchase.
The cancellation was reportedly caused by creative differences amongst the trio. The band’s spokesman Jesse Derris told People, “There is a deep rift within the band. There was a big a disagreement over their music direction.”
After a summer tour that included a stop at Boston’s Bank of America Pavilion in July, the Jonas Brothers had scheduled the more intimate fall outing to prep for the release of their new album, V. The band’s aptly titled fifth studio effort and follow-up to 2009’s Lines, Vines and Trying Times was expected to hit stores this fall but no official release date has been announced. Produced by Nick Jonas, V features singles “Pop Poms” and “First Time”.
