After performing at the Hanover Theatre in Worcester as part of an intimate unplugged tour, John legend has revealed plans to return to the road this summer. The veteran R&B singer-songwriter will make a pair of stops in New England, including one in Massachusetts for a performance at the Blue Hills Bank Pavilion on Saturday, August 9. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $35 to $75, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation.

Legend continues to tour in support of his latest album, 2013’s Love In the Future. Released last August, his fourth studio effort and follow-up to 2008’s Evolver debuted at #4 on the Billboard 200. Produced by Legend and longtime collaborators Kanye West and Dave Tozer, the album earned a Grammy Award nomination for Best R&B Album. Love In the Future features singles “Who Do We Think We Are” (featuring Rick Ross), “Made to Love” (featuring Kimbra) and “All of Me” (streaming below). It also includes guest appearances from Kimbra, Rick Ross, Stacy Barthe and Seal.

As part of his ongoing “All of Me” tour, Legend is delivering a stripped-down affair that finds him performing with minimal guitar/vocal accompaniment as well as a string quartet.

“I’ve enjoyed this tour immensely,” said Legend in a press release. “The opportunity to get up close and personal with my fans and tell my story has been so much fun for me. But I know many people weren’t able to get tickets this spring. I’m looking forward to the tour this summer.”

Prior to the show in Massachusetts, the 9-time Grammy Award winner will perform at the Mohegan Sun Arena in Uncasville, Connecticut on Friday, August 1. Tickets for the show will go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster for $45.
