Jennifer Nettles has revealed plans for a tour in support of her debut solo album, That Girl. The country star, best known as one half of Sugarland with Kristian Bush, will make her way to Massachusetts for a performance at Boston’s House of Blues on Saturday, March 8. Tickets for the show, which will also feature opener Brandy Clark, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation for $49.50 and $59.50.

That Girl is scheduled to hit stores on January 14. The album is comprised of ten songs written or co-written by Nettles, as well as a cover of Bob Seger’s “Like a Rock”. Songwriters Nettles collaborated with include Sara Bareilles, Richard Marx, Kevin Griffin (of Better Than Ezra), Phillip Sweet (of Little Big Town) and Butch Walker. That Girl was produced by Rick Rubin (Adele, Dixie Chicks, Metallica) and recorded at his Shangri-La Studios in Malibu, California. The video for the title track and lead single is streaming below.

“I started writing this album three years ago,” explained Nettles in a press release. “I put no conscious guides or governors on the creation of this album other than to write songs that I want to sing. Working with Rick Rubin was a dream come true and the result is an album that plays to my roots – country, 70’s radio, gospel and singer songwriter.”
