Jay-Z & Justin Timberlake add second Fenway show

As expected, due to overwhelming demand, Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake have added a second show at Boston’s Fenway Park as part of their co-headlining “Legends of Summer” tour. The second show will take place on Sunday, August 11. Tickets for the newly announced, which range in price from $59.50 to $250, will go on sale Friday, March 8 at 10 a.m. through eTix (tickets will not be available at the Fenway Park box office).

Fans can expect a set packed with greatest hits from Jay-Z, the Brooklyn-bred rap icon who has made “the Yankee hat more famous than a Yankee can”, when he plays Fenway. He is rumored to be working on his twelfth studio album and follow-up to 2009’s The Blueprint 3. However, no information has been officially announced. In 2011, he teamed up with Kanye West for a collaboration titled Watch The Throne.

After focusing on his acting career in recent years, Timberlake will release his comeback album The 20/20 Experience on March 15. The former ‘N Sync singer’s third studio effort and first since 2006’s FutureSex/LoveSounds was executive produced by Timberlake with assistance from Timbaland and Jerome “J-Roc” Harmon. Timberlake collaborated with Jay-Z on lead single “Suit & Tie”, which has reached #4 on Billboard’s Hot 100 chart. The video for the hit single, which the two performed live at the Grammy Awards earlier this month, is streaming below.

Together, Jay-Z and Justin Timberlake have garnered more than 23 Grammy Awards, 67 million albums sold and two Emmy Awards.
