Jars of Clay have revealed plans for a special acoustic tour this fall. The brief outing, dubbed the “Sing & Tell” tour, will include a stop in Massachusetts. The veteran Christian rockers will perform at Showcase Live in Foxboro on Friday, October 14. Tickets for the show, which will feature special guest Dave Barnes, are now on sale through Ticketmaster for $25.

The tour continues Jars of Clay’s support of their most recent release, 2010’s The Shelter. The album, their tenth studio effort, features a plethora of special guests including Amy Grant, Mac Powell of Third Day, Leigh Nash, Sara Groves, David Crowder and Toby Mac. Earlier this year, The Shelter earned two Dove Award nominations in the Pop/Contemporary Album of the Year and Praise & Worship Album of the Year categories.

On the upcoming acoustic tour, the band plans to play a set hits as well as fan favorites that are rarely played live. The shows will feature an intimate experience full of music and stories, as well a time for fans to interact with the band and ask questions. In related news, Jars of Clay are also expected to release a Christmas EP later this year. The untitled EP, a follow up to 2007’s Christmas Songs, will reportedly feature a few Christmas classics and one new original song.
