Jane’s Addiction extend tour, add Boston show

Jane’s Addiction have extended their “Theatre of the Escapists” tour into the summer. The alt-rock veterans will make their way to Boston for a performance at the Bank of America Pavilion on Saturday, August 11. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $25 to $65, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation. Band of Skulls will open the show.

The band continues to tour in support of their new album, The Great Escape Artist. Released last October, the band’s fourth studio effort and first since 2003’s Strays debuted at #12 on the Billboard 200. Produced by Rich Costey (Muse, Interpol), The Great Escape Artist  features singles “End to the Lies” and “Irresistible Force (Met the Immovable Object)”. Fans in New England can also catch Jane’s Addiction in Connecticut when they perform at the MGM Grand Theatre at Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket on Saturday, August 18. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $35 to $55, will go on sale Friday at 11 a.m. through the venue’s box office and website.
