Jamey Johnson has made a late addition to his summer tour itinerary. The veteran country singer-songwriter will extend his stay in Massachusetts next month to include a stop in Boston with a performance scheduled for the House of Blues on Friday, August 2. Tickets for the show, which will also feature opener Chris Hennessee, are now on sale through Live Nation for $25 and $35.

Johnson, who will also perform at Indian Ranch in Webster on August 4, continues to tour in support of 2012’s Living For a Song: A Tribute to Hank Cochran. Produced by Buddy Cannon, he is joined by an array of special guests including Willie Nelson, Alison Krauss, Emmylou Harris, Elvis Costello, George Strait, Vince Gill, Ray Price, Merle Haggard, Leon Russell, Ronnie Dunn and more in this tribute to one of the most acclaimed songwriters in the history of country music.

The Alabama native’s last offering of original material was 2010’s double album, The Guitar Song.
