Legendary singer-songwriter Jackson Browne is set to hit the road this summer, accompanied by long time friend and musician David Lindley. The tour stops in Boston on Saturday, August 28 at the Bank of American Pavillion. Tickets, which range in price from $45 to $75, go on sale Saturday at 10 a.m. through Live Nation. Fans can also purchase a special 4-pack of tickets for $30 each.

This is the first time Jackson Browne has performed with Lindley since 2006 when the two performed a string of shows in Spain. The tour is set to coincide with the release of Browne’s new 2-CD live album, Love is Strange, which is set for release on May 11. The album captures many of the performances from Browne and Lindley’s tour of Spain in 2006.

The relationship between the two artists stretches back nearly 40 years, as Lindley played on many of Browne’s albums, first appearing on 1973’s For Everyman. Browne also produced Lindley’s most well known album, 1983’s El Rayo-X.

Browne’s last studio album, Time the Conqueror, was released back in 2008.
