Heart announce Boston show

Heart have revealed plans to hit New England this fall as part of a tour in support of their forthcoming album, Fanatic. Sisters Ann and Nancy Wilson will perform at Boston’s Orpheum Theatre on Tuesday, October 9. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $45 to $65, will go on sale Friday at 10 a.m. through Ticketmaster. Alejandro Escovedo and the Sensitive Boys will open the show.

Fanatic, the Seattle band’s 14th studio album, will hit stores on October 2. Recorded in hotel rooms and studios along the West Coast and produced by Grammy winner Ben Mink, the new album follow 2010’s Red Velvet Car. The ten track album feature special guest Sarah McLachlan on “Walkin’ Good”.

Prior to the show in Boston, Heart will perform at the MGM Grand Theater at Foxwoods Casino in Mashantucket, Connecticut. Tickets for the show, which range in price from $35 to $55, are now on sale through the venue’s box office.

In addition to a new album and supporting tour this fall, the band will also release their memoir, “Kicking and Dreaming: A Story of Heart”. The sisters, along with Seattle-based author Charles R. Cross, penned the book, which reflects on their journey through stardom. Published by HarperCollins, the book will hit stores on September 18. The duo will also be honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame later in the year.

Earlier this year, Heart released Strange Euphoria. The a multi-label box set comprised of three CDs and one DVD, chronicles the band’s lengthy career.
